Review of Bloody Murder (2000) by Kevin H — 21 Sep 2007
A summer camp opens with an urban legend on the loose killing people after a crazy old man said he'll be back.........sound familiar? Bloody Murder is your basic Friday the 13th ripoff that's not even worthy of an homage. Voorhees, Moorehouse...whatever.
The plot is a summer camp is opening up with some goofy counselors getting the place set up. What they don't know is that Trevor Moorehouse is out to get them for no reason. Along the way a really boring plot develops and a killer begins to off the suckers. The plot twists in between are very predictable and in the end, there are two killers.
The whole movie is one giant ripoff of Friday the 13th. This Trevor Moorehouse character appears in a grand total of two scenes and he's a short skinny guy....not exactly 6 foot monster material. The one thing keeping this from a 1 is that someone actually got a lawn dart through the chest....now THAT was funny 2 out of 5.
