Review of Bloodsport (1988) by Xavier M — 07 Jul 2008
I first saw the movie when I was a kid and was intrigued by the many martial arts of the world. I feel the two Americans were represented well also. Frank being the clean cut in shape disciplined fighter and Jackson being the unshaven out of shape brawler.
The action and mythical event that is the Kumite was very exciting as well. There is enough action that no fight fan is unsatisfied. I will say that this is as far as I know the first actual mixed martial arts movie ever and with the UFC craze going on I say that this movie is a must see.
