Review of Bloodsport (1988) by Jason C — 26 Apr 2010
The childhood nostalgia continues with Bloodsport. Way better than Kickboxer while being equally as stupid despite being based onna true story. I have to believe they used their creative license far and wide in this.
Yeung always makes for a fine villain. Ayres is nice to look at, Whitaker is always cool, and JCVD still wears his pants up to his armpits. He also still likes men to tie his legs to trees and split his legs and at the end he makes funny faces and sounds and has a 3 min flashback while the bad guy takes forever to go for the kill.
. Onna sideote, there's a black fighter who trains by karate chopping coconuts and fights by crawling aroung like an ape.. Wtf lol.
