Review of Bloodsport (1988) by Alexander R — 15 Sep 2010
The greatest fighting tournament movie, based on the delusions of grandeur of a real life self proclaimed ninja named Frank Dux.
I love this movie a lot, it sums up everything awesome about the time it was made. Some of the acting at the beginning is hilariously bad, mainly in the flashback sequences, it's a guilty pleasure.
Here is what this is all about:
It's Jean Claude Van Damme with his big loudmouth wrestler buddy, taking on a bunch of colourful fighters from around the world, and eliminating them with techniques based on breaking bricks and doing the splits.
AWESOME!!
