Review of Bloodsport (1988) by Michael H — 16 Apr 2013
It is in my opinion Van Damme's best martial arts movie, the fights were exciting, not just Van Damme's fights but the others in the tournaments too, it was entertaining to add many fighters to compete in a tournament and they managed to pull it off extremely well.
The kurmite was a good concept and it showcased some of Van Dammes skills and tecnique, his acting was improved despite not being perfect. Bloodsport is a childhood memorable martial arts flick of mine and despite a few flaws it still has a massive impact which mix martial artists could study on.
