Review of Bloodsport (1988) by Luke G — 25 Aug 2008
A true life story based on Frank Dux (Van Damme) who sets out to Hong Kong for a full contact competition known as "The Kumite". I believe this is the best martials arts movie ever made, with other great cast members such as Forrest Whitaker, this movie delievers great fight scenes and villians such as Chong Li (Young).
Dux is determined that he will be the last man standing in this blood thirst battle for the # 1 contender to honor his master. On his journey he meets a beautiful reporter and a big bad ass bone crusher named Ray Jackson.
This movies has what every guy seeks for in a film, ass kicking, beautiful reporters and great villians. With great martial art skills from martial arts master Jean-Claude Van Damme, Bloodsport is intense and packed with thrilling fight sequences.
