Review of Blood Work (2009) by Grant S — 05 Oct 2010
Probably Clint Eastwood's worst movie, as a director. Fairly lame plot, with a twist you can see a mile off, and some sub-plots that went nowhere. However, this is countered by Eastwood's usual subtle character-sketching and the mellow, sensitive mood that he creates in his movies.
The acting varies from good to atrocious. Eastwood and Angelica Huston are good, Jeff Daniels and Wanda De Jesus are OK but the whole movie is almost ruined by the incredibly lame and irritating performance of Paul Rodriguez. How this guy ever acted in another movie is beyond me.
A minor semi-negative blip on the amazing career of Clint Eastwood.
