Review of Blood Work (2002) by Jake A — 04 Sep 2010
I really liked this film. It's got a very old school feel, and that is mainly achieved by Eastwood's screen presence and directing. But it's got kind of a new school attitude, in the sense that its a good mix of both worlds, old school in a new school world if that makes any sense.
The story does not stray from its course, it stays with the story which is simple enough to follow and does not really require a lot of thinking. You just watch this old school detective do his work and let him unravel the mystery, it does not require us to do so, which can be branded as a good thing or a bad thing from a critical standpoint.
Blood work is a great story about young guys learning from old guys, which goes back to that old school in a new school world theory, I need to watch this film again though but it wont change my rating.
