Review of Blood Simple (1985) by Daniel C — 30 Mar 2009
The only thing hinting at this being Coen's first movie is the low-budget feel of the photography. The rest is all there: Texas, human stupidity, pointless deaths, good directing.
The shot where the camera travels on the bar and sort of hops over the drunk is worth an award of its own.
