"I'm not a marriage counselor," ceiling fans, DP Sonnenfeld with some restraint, deft awareness of suspense, drips and drops. The Coen Bros emerge seemingly fully-formed in '84 and, save for Carter Burwell's score, little in this minor gem is dated.
