Review of Blood Simple (1985) by Matt S — 14 Mar 2010
This film started it all for the Coen brothers and for good reason. This movie is fantastic, and it combines a good story, good suspense, and some hilarious black humor. Like most Coen brother films the "bad guy" has little back story and his motives are never really clear.
In this particular movie the same holds true and although I wish there was more explanation and maybe more of an ending to the film this is certainly worth your time.
