Review of Blood Simple (1985) by Steven S — 12 Nov 2010
Now THIS is a debut! The Coen Brothers first movie is nothing short of being a thrilling masterwork. Written with so many plot threads that get connected together, the movie is easily considered film noir at its very finest.
Stuffed with awesome camera tricks, pitch-perfect timed direction, and a bone-chilling performance from supporting actor M. Emmet Walsh, "Blood Simple." can be defined as an example of how to make a helluva first movie.
