Review of Blood Simple (1985) by Johnny K — 25 May 2012
Well, the scene where Ray buries Marty alive is really hard to watch,.
But all in all, the movie is a pretty amazing achievement of The Coen Brothers, especially considering that it was their debut picture.
This movie shows exactly what a great thriller is supposed to be like, and it also has a beautiful and tense score by Carter Burwell that corresponds very well to the atmosphere in the movie, and a terrific and unforgettable ending. A must-see for fans of The Coens! :-).
