Review of Blood Simple (1985) by Mike M — 14 Jan 2013
One of the Coen brothers best pieces of work, Blood Simple remains a riveting neo-noir with just the right amount of black humor injected. Features a very young Frances McDormand and (for Cheers fans, Nick Tortelli, aka Dan Hedaya.
Of note, make a point of listening to at least some of the commentary - an outright parody of such, that lampoons the all-too-often pretentiousness of said exercises.
