The premise causing the mutations of the monsters in the movie is irrelevant. This is a good old fashioned mutant monster movie. The usual irrational behavior and plot holes but it's a better than average creature feature.

The scenery is great. The acting is good and there are plenty of incidents to keep one's interest. I don't understand why some people say the movie "doesn't work" or is "less than the sum of its parts.

" It's a fun monster movie, and it's fun guessing who's gonna make it (if anyone) and who isn't. The ending is horrifying on several levels.
