Review of Blood Diamond (2006) by Syzygy — 10 Dec 2006
Hard, gritty, and unflicnhing, Zwick works the story with powerful conviction. All the performances were wonderful. Thankfully the love 'story' was subdued, making it more human from its subtle restraint.
The inclusion of a standard operatic score tuned liked a metronome to the story's undulations hurt some.
