Blood Diamond is a fantastic movie, it is one of the rare newer films where everything works. The acting is brilliant, Leo has never been better, his accent is spot on and he does a fantastic job of delivering some very emotional scenes.
Djimon Hounsou really captures the emotions of the character and he does it with nothing but sleekness and ease. Jennifer Connely, boy is she gorgeous, no matter what she looks incredible, what makes her even more attractive to me is how well she can act, She does a fantastic job as the sort of edgy journalist with emotions like anyone else that she hides well.
The Cinematography is breathtaking, some of those shots with the mountainous background and the open fields and the mist surrounding them with endless green and the jungles took my breath away, the score adds to how large the film is, it has a huge landscape.
Blood Diamond is a character study at its core it's about two different personalities and people understanding each other. It studies human greed and insanity and I can't wait to buy the dvd and watch this film for many years to come.
The film is Beautiful.
