Review of Blood Diamond (2006) by Private U — 07 Oct 2014
As a South African, I can see a lot of stereotyping going on in the movie. I wonder how selectively it portrays Sierra Leone. I've never in my life used the phrase "This is Africa". The image of a war torn third world country with a resource curse and beset by brutality and rebels who want to watch Baywatch strikes me as a bit off.
