Review of Blood Creek (2009) by Michael V — 18 Jan 2014
I never heard anything about this movie. It was a fast paced, gore-fest with an eerie atmosphere that I enjoyed. It's sad that this wasn't marketed because it felt better that most straight to DVD horror out there.
Hell even whats been out in theaters. The story is somewhat strange up until maybe two-fourths into the movie where it dawns on you what is going on. It picks you up and drops you right in the middle of the action.
This imperfect yet original thriller deals with such batshit insane subject matter as undead Nazis, demonic horses, Viking runestones, suits of bone armor, human sacrifice. Now that should make you consider renting it.
And I like Dominic Purcell. I really would like to see him in more roles. Seems like he came into the acting world too late and bald badass actor role had already been taken by Vin Diesel. Plus Michael Fassbender.
He needs more exposure. Guy is fantastic.
