Review of Blood and Wine (1996) by Rob C — 08 Mar 2010
Blood and Wine suffered from an inconsistant plot. The characters and direction of the film were all over the place and it left a lot of holes which needed filling. We have some suprisingly strong actors here, but they were given a mediocre script to work off of; their potential wasn't fully realised.
Jennifer Lopez, while looking radiant, had an annoying accent that I couldn't shake off. Jack Nicholson, Michael Caine and Stephen Dorff were the only great actors of the film, but like I stated previously; were given a shotty script.
Blood and Wine would be interesting to fans of the aforementioned actors above, but others might shrug it off as another filler film of the ninties.
