Review of Blood and Wine (1996) by Alex D — 01 Jul 2018
This was a sleeper when released, but turns out to have been an excellent thriller. The pacing is taught, the twists and turns really keep you on the edge of your seat. The one drawback is the high-handed musical score.
Please give this overlooked movie a try, and try to tune out the lush soundtrack. The story, the actors and the sets are all superb. This is a fine crime film with dysfunctional-family drama to boot.
