Review of Blood and Bone (2009) by Edward B — 02 Oct 2009

This was like watching Van Damme mixed with a little bit of shaft and Fast and the Furious. The cinematography and fight choreography were pretty good for a straight to DVD flick.

Slight spoiler possibility:

It's not a movie about an ex-con turned street fighter, it's a classic revenge movie. You find out by the end of the movie that it was all a set-up for revenge, it had nothing to do with making money or winning fights. He had no interest in being the best, he even chose the place he was staying for a specific reason. Why he was in prison, you never find out, they leave that pretty mysterious. The only thing that is told about his time before jail is that he had a twin brother who was murdered.
