What seems like a typical underground fighting movie turns out to be... well... exactly that. The difference here is that the fights are very good and entertaining. Michael Jai White really shows off what he can do without resorting to lots and lots of wire-fu.
Straight forward story and subpar acting don't help the film but fans of the sub-genre should still be entertained. Worst thing about the film is Dante Basco who plays one of the most annoying characters I've seen in a film in a long long time.
Because I cringed every time he was on screen this film loses a half star otherwise I might haven given it 2.5.
