Review of Blonde Venus (1932) by Sherri S — 18 Jan 2008
Dietrich plays this character so detached that it is almost impossible to tell what she is feeling or thinking. This creates confusion for the audience, but it also makes the emotional moments (such as the ending) more affecting.
I enjoyed this film very much, and I love watching Dietrich perform as a cabaret singer. She has the most distinct voice. Gotta love those German accents.
