Fans who hold Marilyn Monroe as some Hollywood deity aren't going to like this story. Not that she's the villain, but that she was such a damaged victim. Ana de Armas is very good in this. Yes its racy, and unflinching, but its refreshing to see her story told with so much of the glamour stripped away.
In a sense, this may be how Norma would have wanted her story told.
