Review of Blitz (2011) by Jeff L — 20 Jun 2011
Viewers know what to expect when they watch a Statham movie: lots of growling and posturing by Statham and tonnes of mind-blowing violence. In this movie, however, the cop killer who roams the streets of London does most of the violence, and it's left to Statham to exact the killer blow at the end of the movie. Violence begets violence, the movie is saying. In a world where killers can get away scot-free, it's up to the cops to deal with them with a strong hand.
There is a big error in the flow of the flick, however. Statham has to kill the killer only because the cops can't link any evidence to the killer. They forgot about the 50,000 pounds that the killer has on him, which he stole from a snitch. Tsk, tsk. Such bad police work :-))).
