Review of Blitz (2011) by Ol R — 27 Sep 2011
Pretty underwhelming overall, but there are some enjoyable performances from Considine and Gillen, who do their roles with surprising conviction, though many of the more interesting factors of the movie are glossed over too much (Considine's gay police sergeant should have had more exposition and Gillen's emotional defects and painfully obvious abnormalities should also have had more foregrounding), and it's kind of convoluted and unexciting.
Nevertheless, good for a drunken night in, to see Statham beating on South-East Londoners (who doesn't like that?).
