Review of Blitz (2011) by Ken T — 24 Oct 2011
This was the first ever Jason Statham film that didn't feel or look like Statham film. It was low budget, no gangs, no driving and none of the British attitude he brings on film. At times it was boring and so was Statham.
I will say what held this film together was Paddy Considine bringing a somewhat ridiculously evil yet hilarious character to life. He was the film's only savior. The plot is pretty unoriginal but still watchable.
Somewhat of a ripped from the headlines feel. It looked more like a TV show then a movie. Not entirely bad, just lucky I saw this on DVD instead.
