Pairing Paddy Considine, who can act, with Jason Statham, who can't, was a strange decision. I couldn't help feeling Statham got the part only because Michael Caine was too old for it. Which is sad as the veteran's presence would have lifted my rating, as he would have brought a style and charisma that's completely lacking in Blitz.
The dialogue, directing, acting and production all have a distinctly amateurish feel. This lead to me not giving a toss about what happened after the first five minutes. One to avoid.
