Review of Blindspotting (2018) by Aryeh B — 06 Aug 2018
A very sensitive, thoughtful, and attentive treatment of the intersections of gentrification, violence, police brutality, friendship, race, self-perception, and growth. Amazingly tender in its processing of these heady and hard issues in the space of real human relationships.
This movie understands that at the heart of all of it, of all these different forms of violence -- more explicit and more veiled forms -- is fear.
