Review of Blind Shaft (2003) by Thomas H — 23 Mar 2008
A great watch, a bleak and realistic look (yet staying away from documentary style) into the world of migrant workers and how a couple of them decided to use the very people at the top (who should care about them, in theory) and those nameless ones at the bottom to make a quick buck for themselves.
Great cast and great work on the direction and editing by Yang Li and nice 'washed out' cinematography. Not much hope to get out of this, but not without a certain sense of irony...
