Review of Blind Date (1987) by Michael K — 21 Dec 2011
You can tell this is a Blake Edwards film as it has it moments but plays them out too thin & deteriorates into a fucking mess that in the end outstays its welcome. Even his Pink Panther movies eventually did this.
His formula never really changes. Here he tries to show case some big TV talent in Bruce Willis & John Larroquette but unfortunately they are not seasoned enough to carry the weight of a full length feature that doesn't have enough to sustain.
Larroquette actually is better @ it then Willis but this movie doesn't do either of them any favors. Thanks to those involved its not entirely a waste but all in all not too smokin hot either. Time has not been kind to this film.
