Review of Bless the Child (2000) by April T — 23 Oct 2009
Though not cast with anyone amazing, this film is still quite good and most certainly very real and chilling. Movies that deal with demonic activity and occult and good vs. evil are always the most terrifying to me because I know all of that is very real and is something that is happening in our world on a daily basis.
That's the main reason why I like this film and find it to be most haunting. Their portrayal of the demons flying above in some of the scenes was very realistic and I thought very well done..The little girl in this was great and I really loved some of her scenes and the way her faith in God did not waver.
I thought some powerful scenes were when she went up to the homeless man, hugged him and said, "He hasn't forgotten you." Also the scene in which "Eric Stark" and she are on the rooftop and he tells her, "Cody, if you believe in God, jump.
And if not, you come to me." and she turns around and says, "After you." Very good comeback. I love the ending with the angels and also when the angel is in "Detective John Travis'" office and says to him, "You're not working alone tonight.
.A good man is never alone in this world." All great scenes and overall, one of the better "occult" sort of movies I have seen.
