Review of Blazing Saddles (1974) by Hunter S — 12 Jul 2010
Half of this film's humor is almost too racy for me to recommend it as a perennial comedy. But I have to admit, there are many moments that are classic Mel Brooks (make no mistake) and laugh-out-loud funny.
Best bits: the ever-popular campfire flatulence, and breaking the fourth wall on the Warner Bros. lot. The cast couldn't be better. Harvey Korman cracks me up. "It's Hedley!".
