Review of Blazing Saddles (1974) by Alex C — 09 Apr 2012
My mom was the one who reccomended this (and other Mel Brooks films) to me years ago, and she cited the baked beans scene as one of her favorite of any comedy. Considering that she is one of the last people I'd expect to laugh at a fart joke, this says a lot about the ability of Blazing Saddles to make its audience laugh.
It is undoubtedly my favorite Mel Brooks movie, and one that I have every intention of one day showing to any genetic offspring of mine.
