Review of Blazing Saddles (1974) by Michael H — 06 Jul 2012
Bart is black. He works on a railroad with his friends slaved by white people. When the sherrif of a town dead, the people are stunned the he is the new black sherrif not to mention the first. He befriends the waco kid who used to be the fastest hands in the world. Later in the film, the town is up for demolition for a new railroad that Bart was originally working on, so what happens? WATCH BLAZING SADDLES! I found myself laughing, not laughing and sometimes absolutely being bored by the short plot in a hour and a half movie. But with the jokes we got they are really funny. The funniest being when a muscular man punches a horse down to the ground with was fantastic. The ending had me a bit confused. I know its suppose to be a joke but we are watching a movie, that is being filmed as shown by warner bros studios, while somehow being in the movie while watching a completely different movie. What sense does that make? I have no clue. Still, Blazing Saddles is quite funny.
85/100 B.
