Review of Blazing Saddles (1974) by Allen A — 30 Nov 2012
One of the few Mel Brooks movies, along with Young Frankenstein, that is consistently funny. This movie is now almost 40 years old and was made long before political correctness killed off much of the American sense of humor.
There was no "inappropriate laughter" back then. Modern liberals should probably avoid this movie and I have to admit that I wouldn't let kids watch it. The musical scene with Madeline Kahn is a high point.
