Review of Blazing Saddles (1974) by Don S — 02 Sep 2013
I'm not a big comedy fan; I find most of it to be forced - it doesn't flow naturally - and juvenile. This fits that bill. I didn't laugh once and found the jokes more stupid than funny. Riddled with cliches, offensive labels for characters and a story too outlandish to care about, I just really didn't care for this.
I've never thought Mel Brooks was a genius as others do; this cements my opinion.
