Cleavon Little as a black sheriff in an all-white western town and Gene Wilder as his gunfighter deputy. The bad guys are Harvey Korman, Slim Pickens, Madeline Kahn, and Mel Brooks. Alex Karras makes a memorable appearance as the now infamous Mongo. This is an unusual film that breaks all the rules, that remains controversial, and has many absolutely memorable, hilarious scenes.
