Review of Blazing Saddles (1974) by Timothy J — 27 Nov 2015
Along side "Young Frankenstein" this is one of Mel Brooke's greatest films. A film that could never be made. People are too dense and easily offended to understand satire. Too much focus would be placed on the liberal use of the "N" word that to get that this was a negative critique of racism.
A film that was co-written by none other than Richard Pryor.
