Review of Blazing Saddles (1974) by Stephen G — 19 Nov 2013
Even with strong racial overtones and consistent use of the "N" word, Blazing Saddles remains a classic. The entire movie is play off of everyone's learned bigotry and leaves the viewer with a lesson that there is no room for racial bias and we are all created equal.
Perhaps disturbing to some, it's Mel Brooks at his best.
