Review of Blazing Saddles (1974) by Ken S — 14 Sep 2014
This early film from Mel Brooks was one of his first turns at doing parody, something he really wouldn't leave for a long while. "Blazing Saddles" is funny, even if it isn't my favorite (not being the hugest fan of westerns, I can't say that a parody is going to have me in stitches) it is still pretty damn good.
The satire of both racial issues and of just general cinema is where this film shines the best.
