Review of Blank Check (1994) by Tom R — 03 Jun 2011
What an awful movie with an awful message: money is the key to true happiness. Blank Check has a plot with nothing resembling realism and rips off Home Alone, except the main character is a greedy little thug that's nowhere near as likable as Kevin McCallister.
You won't believe how badly you want the avaricious "protagonist" Preston Waters to get killed by the bad guys by the end of the movie. No child should ever be subjected to this movie as it tries to teach that money is the only thing that matters in life, making me wonder if it's very subtle anti-capitalist propaganda.
I don't care how many people tell you Blank Check is a classic; flee from it!
