Review of Blancanieves (2012) by Adam T — 02 Jun 2017
Like The Artist, Blancanieves pays homage to the age of classic silent films. It is well-conceived, beautifully shot and well cast- particularly Maribel Verdu as the evil step-mother and gorgeous young actress Macarena Garcia as the orphaned daughter of a famous bullfighter.
The plot is a Spanish take on Snow White and as such, it is lovingly crafted.
