Review of Blame It on Fidel! (2006) by Hamad S — 16 Oct 2008
Kervel-Bay does an amazing job in this film. You can almost see the struggle between old-school reactionary thinking and the new socialist awakening play out on her face. I also liked the fact that the movie referenced many of the struggles of the new left and its effects on this one French family, and especially on this one French schoolgirl.
The last scene is beautifully done to symbolize the donning of a new liberal identity by Europe.
