Review of Blair Witch (2016) by Robert R — 22 Sep 2016

If you're a horror fan, this is worth a see. Positives: decent acting and script, scary (especially last 30 minutes), interesting update of a groundbreaking movie, seriously... those last thirty minutes are a door... they had me squirming in my seat. Negatives: be prepared to look away from the screen of shaky camera gets you nauseous - yikes, horrendous sound design (I'm pretty sure their Sound Department got Blair Witch confused with Godzilla), music cues that pull you of the found footage feeling, over-relies on jump scares.

Overall I enjoyed this. It would be fine to wait for this on video... however, if you're a horror fan, a smaller screen would diminish the last thirty minutes, but it might also scale down the ridiculously dialed in sound effects,which would be a good thing indeed.
