Review of Blair Witch (2016) by Francis H — 11 Oct 2016
A year or two ago my kids asked me which movies I thought were the scariest. The Exorcist was and still is number one for me, but I also mentioned The Blair Witch Project. When my wife and I went to see that one, she didn't know that it wasn't fake and thought it was a real documentary with the birth of the found footage genre.
Well I watched Blair Witch Project with my kids and they were like, eh what's the big deal. However, it was a big deal back then wasn't it? The first of it's kind with the whole found footage thing right? Well now it is back and pretty much the same.
There are a few scares, but really it is pretty silly. My son and daughter and I enjoyed making comments throughout the whole thing which made it much better then it actually is. The final 20 minutes are fun, but leading up to that is a bit of a chore.
Horror fans go and enjoy with a group, non horror fans well there's better stuff out there.
