Review of Blades of Glory (2007) by Ruhan R — 09 Sep 2011

I'm pretty sure that this is the only comedy about figure skating so I guess it scores points for originality. The script had a strange yet unique concept behind it, and it included some interesting characters.

Will Ferrel and Hon Heder made for an interesting combination. They had some good chemistry and pulled off some really funny scenes. Will Arnett & Amy Poehler did well as the scheming skating champions too, and it was a delight to see Jenna Fischer do her thing as well.

This film was moderately entertaining, but it felt a bit cheap at times and lacking core. Josh Gordon and Will Speck could have done more to give this movie a bit more spirit, but it was a decent comedy overall.
