Review of Blades of Glory (2007) by Rev.r. — 29 Apr 2007
Wait! I've previously been here! Even the jokes are the same! Viewing this film was a field trip back to the locker room in high school. Still, Will Ferrell can create humor out of the worst screen plays, though the laughs are scattered.
The movie does have some socially redeeming value: men are still terrified of the feminine facets of our constitution. Call us anything, but never call us "sissy." We always laughed at the "sissy" in school.
Why else would this movie be funny to so many? Why was it at times funny to me? So, I find myself not dealing so much with the movie, but with myself for laughing at scenarios that caused so many in my past pain.
