Ok, I'm a loyal Marvel fan and have my issues with comic adaptions but the Blade Franchise put it's final nail in Dracula's coffin here with the 3rd installment. Blade, arguably the best comic adaption... the first one to really get it right. How has it deterred so far off the path with this horrendous entry into the series?

Where do I start, with the criticism of course. Blade is, from the get go, made a lesser man than in the previous 2 movies. Captured by police.. should never happen, then then they kill off Whistler and his only input is horribly scripted, lacking the realism from the last 2.

Then in comes the Night Stalkers... great name, great actors in Biel and Reynolds but they take the final fang out of what was the incredibly animalistic and scary vamps from the original and make them stupid, 2d characters who sound as ridiculous as they look. It seems there are 5 vampires in the whole movie and the Vampire Nation spoken of in the first 2 is nowhere to be seen. when humans can fight hand to hand with vamps, they are no longer scary. Why even have blade in this movie at all?

Dominic Purcell does an ok job as the villain and made a good attempt to act this horrible role. HHH is garbage. The trendy world created in the first 2 movies disappears, the way this one is shot changes and fails, the dialogue even makes Wesley Snipes lose his cool factor and he looks, tired, his action scenes are cut very poorly and the stylistic nature off the first two completely abandoned. The special effects, jumping for example are rubbish and the only thing that makes this movie watchable is the very likable cast, Reynolds is hilarious but there is no sense of urgency in this film and for that 3 stars.... only because I'm a huge Blade fan.

Watch it if you like the first 2 and then spend a few hours thinking of how a 12 year old could write a better script.
